Equine Management
Each NECS Farming foal produced, will be of stud quality and will have stud papers
available when being sold. NECS Farmers exclusively use Australian Stock Horses,
American Quarter Horses, Harness Horses and Thoroughbreds.
A Register of Stud Stock is to be made available with each animal. Additionally, a
recognised yearling-sale will also be made available to the public. Recognised
yearling (12 month old) horse preparation barns are being developed before the
yearlings are sold. Training of equine students will be provided by recognised
government education departments.
Thorgard Pharmaceuticals (Aust.) Pty Ltd have also developed a special and unique
nutrition and feeding program supplement that is beneficial to the mare's health
and foal's ensuring that her oestrogen content level is of the highest quality
within the mare's urine. Dr. John Kohnke (Thorgard's Director of Veterinary Affairs)
ensures that his team of dedicated veterinarians are constantly monitoring NECS Farming
mares and foals. Inspectors will also be trained by the NSW Hunter TAFE Institute Education
Department.
